Every Thursday evening throughout December there is late night shopping in Bury St Edmunds
Entertainment to support our Late Night Shopping evenings across the town starts this Thursday and I just thought I would make you all aware of what is going planned so you can target visitors to the town accordingly;
6th December: We have a fire eating entertainer and juggler who will be performing outside Thorntons at 5.30pm, in Charter Square at 6.30pm and outside Cornhill Walk at 7.30pm. In Cornhill Walk will be a magician and face painter and around the town performing will be a piper, musician and the Salvation Army
13th December: is our attempt to break the world record for the most fairies in one place. This will be attempted in Charter Square at around 6pm and then there will be a procession into the Cornhill and finishing outside the new Greggs shop. Palmers are offering 10% discounts to fairies on this night is anyone else going to follow suit? Fairy outfits are available from Dance Crazy who will make a donation to Breakthrough Breast cancer for every outfit they sell. We will be joined by a stilt walking fairy princess and a toy soldier. In Cornhill Walk there will be a magician and face painter and around the town performing will be a piper and a musician
20th December: Santa and his elves joins us in his galleon, in Cornhill Walk there will be a magician and face painter and around the town performing will be a piper and a musician. On this night Palmers Fashion Store are offering a free gift wrapping service to ANY item purchased in town that evening.
Giant snow globe: On late night Thursdays arc will play host to a Giant Snow Globe, complete with snow! The Globe Experience will be here every Thursday, so bring along your friends and family, hop inside and have your photo taken. The experience will cost £8 and includes time in the magical snow globe for up to 6 people, plus one printed photo at the end as a memory of your experience! It really is like being inside a giant snow globe and captures the spirit of Christmas perfectly.
Festive light spectacular: Thursdays from 4pm will see a Festive Light Spectacular projected in Charter Square! Come along and watch the display evolve against the night sky. It'll definitely keep you entertained whilst last night shopping. The image mapping light display will be projected from the balconies of The Apex onto the roofs of Next, Clarks, Monsoon, Accessorize and Wallis!
Carousel: Come and have a ride on the carousel in Charter Square from the 1st December.
Plans to set a new world record next Thursday for the most fairies in one place are progressing well and Bid4Bury and the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity now have the support of everyone at Bury Rugby club. Click here for more infomation on this story!
